Love, Lindsey - 14th February 2025

Happy Valentine’s Day! I’m writing to you from Atlanta, Georgia, where I’m attending Love Y’All Fest, a romance convention with god knows how many authors and readers and no, I’m not anxious at all. Wait, that’s wrong, I’m incredibly stressed. This is my first ever convention! Will anyone come to my table to say hello? Will I have to politely explain who I am to American readers all weekend? Will I have to politely explain who I am to American authors all weekend? It’s a bit weird and extremely humbling, going from sold out tours in the UK (who do I think I am, TayTay?) to making eyes at Gen Z across a pasting table in the country I’ve lived in for nearly sixteen years but here we are. Hopefully generalized anxiety disorder will work in my favour and make me extra funny and charming during the events and I can quake quietly in my hotel room afterwards while no one is watching. This is the way of my people, thank you for enabling me.

Dear Diary,

Another week with lots of writing and book shenanigans for me – I’m currently editing Christmas Fling but was allowed out the house on Tuesday to host Fallon Ballard’s launch event at The Ripped Bodice in LA (which was delightful). Even though my events stress me out (pls see above), chatting with other authors about their books is always a delight. Anyway, Fallon’s book, Change of Heart, has a super fun set up and a very sweary heroine so if that sounds like it could be up your alley, have a look.
